The owner & founder of CakeStop1 | Designer & teacher 

 

With a Bachelor of Science from Unimelb, formal pastry training from Le Cordon Bleu Sydney, and a year of professional experience at the InterContinental Sydney CBD Hotel, CakeStop1 was founded in 2019 to create a space where creativity meets cake and cookies.

Naturally enthusiastic and endlessly curious, she spends her spare time studying baking theory and continuously refining her skills. She has always been generous with her knowledge, supporting friends within the industry whenever they needed help. When friends began asking to learn from her, her teaching journey naturally took shape.

An opportunity to appear on a television show as a cake decorator teaching celebrities brought wider recognition to her work and expertise.

To date, she has taught over 2,000 students.

In her classes, she is known for being encouraging, patient, and attentive, offering clear guidance and practical advice when students feel stuck. She shares proven techniques and helpful shortcuts to make learning approachable, allowing even beginners to confidently create unique and impressive designs.

Her teaching philosophy: '' simplify the steps and make it fun.''

CakeStop1 is a multi-award-winning cake studio based in Sydney’s Inner West, specialising in beautifully crafted bento cakes, custom cakes, cookies, and edible image supplies.

From our signature buttercream drawing and vintage-style designs to elegant fondant creations, every piece is made with artistry and heart — because we believe in one simple motto: let the cake speak for you.

Whether it’s a milestone celebration, a heartfelt gift, or a creative collaboration, CakeStop1 delivers desserts that are as meaningful as they are delicious.​

From Ashfield Shop to Leichhardt Studio​

The journey wasn’t easy. We opened the first shop in Ashfield just months before COVID hit, navigating immense pressure without government support. We committed to a five-year promise to ourself—to learn, grow, and stay the course. Along the way, we was honoured to receive multiple awards at the Royal Easter Show and Cake Bake & Sweets Show, while learning what it truly means to run a business, lead a team, and keep improving even on the hardest days.

Today, CakeStop1 has evolved into a studio that aligns with who we are and what we do best. We believe true professionalism isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing the right things exceptionally well. Our focus is now on experience-based classes, bento cakes, and custom cakes and cookies, where creativity meets intention.

We are still deeply in love with this industry, more confident than ever, and always learning. Hold on to your passion, keep asking what you can improve next, and trust that it will guide you forward.
